African environmental issues are caused by anthropogenic effects on the African natural environment and have major impacts on humans and nearly all forms of endemic life.

The UNEP found that a full 28 percent of Africa’s disease burden is a result of environmental factors like contaminated water, which causes diarrheal disease, and air pollution, which causes respiratory illness.

There is a huge list of environmental issues in Africa, which is turning out to be a threat to the global environmental condition. Some of the aspects of these issues are discussed in the article below, along with some measures which need to be taken.
