A global early-stage Venture Capital, Antler is inviting startups fighting the Covid-19 pandemic to apply for funding. It plans to invest in 5 startups and deploy close to US$500,000 in aggregate. It is going to be fully remote and will be executed quickly.
The VC is inviting startups to propose solutions in Medical Equipment (ventilators, test kits, protective gear), Digital Tools (remote work, smart delivery, e-learning), Mitigation (masks, contact tracing, surveillance, data infrastructure) and Remote Health (telehealth, remote patient monitoring, symptom checkers).
Magnus Grimeland, founder and CEO of Antler asserted that the Covid-19 pandemic has continued to disrupt human life around the world and the time is now for innovators to come together for the benefit of all.
Selected teams from the screening process will be invited for a video pitch session. The finalists will then pitch to Antler’s Investment Commitee (IC) remotely. The relevance towards mitigating Covid-19 and how the startup works would be taken into account.
Selected companies will receive access to Antler’s global network of investors, industry experts, and entrepreneurs, as well as coaching by Antler’s leadership. Antler will help startups hit the ground running and make them accessible to those who need them as quickly as possible.
Grimeland added that Antler is calling on the brightest minds to create solutions that help guarantee the global community can come back from the crisis. He also believes the solutions provided during the crisis will provide a promising future.
Applications are open and can be submitted here until April 15.
