Applications open for Africa4Future program

The Africa4Future initiative, a joint accelerator program involving Airbus’ BizLab, and Make-IT in Africa by GIZ have opened applications for solutions in Agriculture and infrastructure for their third edition.

Launched the first time in 2017, the initiative was created by Airbus BizLab with the aim of encouraging and supporting entrepreneurship in Africa. Airbus through the initiative seeks to build bridges between the aerospace industry and the different stakeholders in Africa.

In this edition, the accelerator is open to African start-ups, software companies who work on solutions in Agriculture and infrastructure relating to remote-sensing technology including automation, blockchain, artificial intelligence, data analytics, material composites, manufacturing and more. Infrastructure refers to transportation/logistics mapping, water monitoring, waste management, real estate, urban development, and others.

The program is executed by Co-Creation Hub (CcHUB), a Pan-African innovation center with a track record of speeding up the application of social capital and technology for sustainability. CcHUB will provide strategic support and practical industry know-how to the startups to engage stakeholders within the sector.
